I think it has to do with how much trouble the japanese developers seem to be having this gen. It's crazy how 6 years into this console cycle there's still no Knigdom Hearts and no team Ico game. Also there's only 1 Resident Evil, Metal Gear Solid, Gran Turismo, Devil May Cry, etc. On the other hand we've had 5 Call of Dutys, 3 Halos and 3 Assassins Creeds.
They won't announce a new console this E3 because they have the chance to see what Nintendo will do first and they will take it. I bet they will announce it right before Nintendo's console's launch though, just so that people know that there will be a more powerful console coming before buying.
Don't forget about Brink.
My guess is that they'll wait till next gen to relaunch the franchise.
All the Gears of War games so far have been published by Microsoft so there's no way any of the main games in the trilogy will make it to the PS3. Whatever they make next, be it a spinoff, a prequel or a proper sequel could have a chance of being on the PS3 but at this point I think it's more likely to see it on the PS4.

2 million in 6 weeks is a lot for a fighting game, that's more than what Street Fighter IV sold in the same amount of time.
Sounds great but is anybody else worried that this is releasing in just 3 months and they still haven't shown any gameplay?

I'm sure the PSP2 will do better than the first PSP but at this point I think Nintendo is more worried about Apple stealing the casual market from them.

I think after Zelda and Rhythm Heaven they're done with the Wii. I wouldn't be surprised if they released the Wii 2 at the end of this year.
Because NPD doesn't include games that are bundled with hardware like Wii Sports or Wii Sports Resort. According to vgchartz Kinect Adventures has sold over 7 million.
I think Dead Space, Amnesia, Condemned and Silent Hill were proper horror games.
